Phones are such a useful way of communicating to someone, it is amazing to think how we did without them.
The days have long past when the humble telephone would be available to buy as a one style suits all. Currently phones are available in a variety of sizes, colours and materials, colours and ringtones. They are even available as novelty phones too.
Novelty phones are an excellent idea to speak with your acquaintances but also owning your favourite design phone to make it more fun. The ringtones diverse from old style telephones through the decades from the 1920s passing through to the the 1950s like a diner phone. Maybe those mature people may remember the finger dialling phone in the colors of – bright reds or blue. As years passed by the style was the Trim phone with it is characteristic ringer.
As the years passed, the rotary dialling phones were taken over by the new push button phones. These replaced the old dial phones. Later appeared the cordless phone. These phones meant not having to actually be in the location by the phone socket. This gave the ability to chat anywhere around the home. Telephones were also wall mounted not just sat on a table top. The materials varied from wood to plastic. It became very popular to own! Great masses of homeowners now purchased a telephone to the point that phones were being located in many rooms of the house.
Children now own character phones in the likeness of their best Disney character such as Donald Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse or Pluto, the list is neverending.
Most males love their boy toys gadgets and loved the Star Wars characters such as R2D2 or Darth Vader. Even Dads have got in on the act by buying a phone in the style of a golf buggy, car or Dr Who Tardis. Mums, so not to be left out have their own personal favourites too like a red stiletto shoe or a pair of red lips.
The idea of novelty has also appeared in other areas over the years such as novelty salt and pepper grinders of which there are lots of themes and many of them very collectable.
All these phones still have a fundamental need in common and that is communication, but it is now not the case that one style suits all. Everyone has an individual personality and everyone likes to have something that is a little unique from others showing their own creative style and flair.
